16 and 0....soon 19 and Done.....

Nice Job Patriots. Bye Bye 72 Dolphins....next stop - Arizona. Give the Giants some credit...they pushed the Pats......just weren't good enough....and I was stupid enough to not play Burress and Jacobs in the final of my work Fanatsy league......I won my other league by being smart....looks like I'm not going to go 2 and 0.

I'm not sure I see the Super Bowl in the future. They are an unbelievable team and they have been ridiculously impressive all season, but they aren't a team built for the home field advantage created in New England. When cold weather hits, they lose a lot of the luster offensively. They've been better at running the ball lately, but they've also had trouble with the Ravens, the Jets, and the Giants in cold weather these last couple weeks. All are bad signs for this team in the playoffs. The run-and-gun finesse is out the window when snow is on the ground and Moss' hands turn to crap in the cold weather.

I will say this though, if the Pats make it to the Super Bowl then they are essentially guaranteed to win it. No NFC team can stay with them in Arizona. Should be a fun postseason, but I wouldn't be at all surprised to see the Pats watching the Super Bowl from home like the rest of us.

Moss played at Marshall....not exactly Hawaii for weather.

The Patriots have been doing enough to win with every team giving 100% effort on every play. Their manhood was put on the line and the Patriots didn't blink. Did they get lucky - sure...Baltimore for one - but you need luck to go 16-0...it doesn't happen in a league built on parity.

Peyton Manning has never won in the postseason at Foxboro - be more worried about him than Moss. That's the only game that is of concern.

I'm not a big fan of people pointing to years past in the NFL to prove that something can't happen. Prior to last year, Manning had also never beaten the Pats in the postseason, but it happened. The fact that it hasn't happened yet has absolutely no bearing on what will happen this year.

That being said, I think that the Pats should be more worried about what Jacksonville will do to them than looking ahead to the Colts. The Jags should have no problem with the reeling Steelers next week. They are powered by the best running tandem in the league and they have an efficient quarterback who makes even fewer mistakes than the beloved Brady. Combine that with a defense that gets to the quarterback (tied for 10th in the league in sacks), then the Pats will be hitting a big problem on Day 1.

I know your opinion is shaded by your love for the Pats, and I have no problem with that - it's the way a fan should be. And I do agree that you need luck to have the kind of success they've had. However, I'm not entirely convinced that they will finish the postseason unscathed. As for Moss, I'm not so sure that his collegiate career 10 years ago negates the fact that his entire pro career has been in a dome and Los Angeles - he's not a cold weather receiver.

Oakland not LA.

History is what is used to predict the future since its about trends...Manning won AT HOME. INDOORS. And if the Pats had 1 receiver of their 3 amigos that they have this year - Manning would have LOST!

You're right, it was Oakland. While Oakland is not southern California, it's certainly not Foxboro. The NFL is NOT about trends. Last year has no bearing on this year (see, Packers and sadly, my Bears). The Colts and Patriots are basically the same teams this year. Three talented receivers, talented quarterback and great defense. Difference? The Pats have a very beat up offensive line and the blueprint has been laid - the Pats weakness is pass protection and the Colts defensive strength is their pass rush.

As I said before, I'm not so sure the Colts comparison will be necessary because the Jags are a serious force. Their strengths play right into the Pats' weaknesses and I would love to see that smug douchebag, Belichick, get embarrassed in front of the whole nation.

New England: They're good AND they cheat.

The NFL wouldn't let the Pats lose in the regular season...and it showed in the Baltimore AND Giants game. If you are a Sunday Ticket/DVR baby like me who watches every singe game, you would notice that the Pats got every single call from mid-season on when and if the game was in question.

With that said, I'm not so sure the NFL really cares now that it got the marketing it needed. The Jags and the Colts have the weapons to beat them. Had Marvin been healthy, it may have been enough to beat them in the first match-up.
