Not much to write about the game except great win again. Easy win again. Dustin Sitzmann played AGAIN. That's 3 straight games for him....that has to be a career high. Speaking of career highs - Josh Dotzler tied a career high with 5 steals. Dane Watts had 20 of the Jays 80 points and 10 of their 35 rebounds.
9-1.....and here comes the Valley.
P'Allen's alley-oop from Kaleb Korver was the highlight on the game. 80-61. Jays are now off for a week as they break for Christmas. Next up - Illinois St.
The blog will be quiet for a few days....I'll write more after Christmas but Happy Holidays to all....be good....

My prediction for Jays: 11-7........NIT
I meant 11-7 in the Valley.
11-7 in the Valley? I hope not. That conference is like competing in the special olympics.
Let's see, 16 games in the Valley...if they were worth a crap at all, they would win 14.
Don't you Husker fans have anything better to do? Obsessed much?
BTW, the MVC in currently ranked 7th in conference RPI .004 behind the Big 10, I would hardly refer to that as the Special Olympics.
Oh yeah, 74-62. Merry Christmas.
oh yea halftime score Nebraska 35 NCCU 8
and aric the Big XII is #1 .006 ahead of the ACC but probably going to be second after tonight losing to two BCS schools. Texas Tech falling at home to #25 Stanford and Texas losing at Neutral (Detroit) Michigan St.
Aric,
MVC is the 7th ranked conference? Really? Wow!
I was the 7th ranked student in my high school, as it were. I went to the University of Nebraska at Kearney. The 5 of the 6 above me went to Ivy League schools, the other to Stanford. Big difference, Aric, big difference.
BTW........Nebraska just beat North Carolina Central 71-28. North Carolina Central scored 30 against Creighton in the first half!!!!!!.....hmmmmm
"BTW........Nebraska just beat North Carolina Central 71-28. North Carolina Central scored 30 against Creighton in the first half!!!!!!.....hmmmmm"
that's cuz Dana was playing with his lineups (sarcasm)
matt had his excuse ready before NU even played.
Oakland beat Oregon (you know, the best team ever to play at the Qwest Center, right?) 68-62.
If you want to play the who beat who and by how much game, defend that. Oregon sucks. The best team Corn U has played all year is Western Kentucky and you lost.
Oh yeah, 74-62.
And Nebraska killed Arizona St and Arizona St killed Xavier and Xavier beat Creighton and Creighton beat Nebraska. All I know is that I like the way the Huskers are playing defense right now. The Western Kentucky game was a turning point for this team. Given Nebraska's athletes, I like their NCAA chances moreso then Creighton's.
"Oregon sucks."
TaJuan Porter went from scoring 29 points to 3 points. There's your difference. Players do have off nights. Teams have off nights. It just so happens Oregon played terrible the week following a tough loss.
Speaking of about ready to drop out of the top 25, Xavier anyone? What an overrated team that was, and they handled Creighton.
8 pts by NCC fewest EVER allowed by a Big XII school. More evidence that Doc is getting his players to play the way he wants.
celticpride:
Did you notice instead of the Huskers getting any credit of the record setting big 12 defensive performance he's complaining of an oregon loss instead? Good thing Doc played around with his lineup against Creighton so he has something to talk about this year!
