Omaha Is Gonna Rock!!

If you have tickets to the games in Omaha....LUCKY YOU!! Wow, do we have a some great games coming to the Qwest Center. The NCAA really gave us some great teams to watch.

The games on Thursday aren't that interesting except the battle of SICK freshmen - O.J. Mayo and Michael Beasley.

Thursday:
No. 1 seed Kansas vs. No. 16 Portland State
No. 8 UNLV vs. No. 9 Kent State
No. 3 Wisconsin vs. No. 14 Cal State Fullerton
No. 6 USC vs. No. 11 Kansas State

Saturday could be REALLY fun though!! KU vs. UNLV/Kent St., Wisconsin vs. USC/K ST. Those games are going to be AWESOME!

Drake vs. UConn in the 2nd round?? I think the Dogs are going to the Sweet 16!

Sorry to Ill. St. That really hurts for the MVC. The rumor has been that the Valley has been down but 6 Big 12 and 6 SEC teams...3 A-10, 3 WCC...that just killed The Redbirds. Only 6 non-power conference teams in!!! That is just awful! 12 in 2004...6 to 2008....UMass, Illinois St not in but Villanova and St. Joe's? I have a problem with that but overall...I don't have a huge problem with the bracket.

NIT show coming at 8 pm....I'll post more after we find out about CU and NU

Creighton must also be a bubble team since they are a three seed too.

Just for the record.... You don't know that much about college basketball you give way to much credit to mid-minors.

you are predicting that the "dogs" win the second round game between drake and UCONN? which dogs do you mean? nebraska is a three seed in the NIT, the big XII gets 6 teams in the tournament, the valley gets one, too funny. matt claims to be a college basketball fan but turns out to be just like the majority of creighton fans. full of hope and fury when the jays are involved, casual overall basketball fans with limited knowledge of how big time basketball works and an unrelenting hatred for big conference schools. at least it will take a miracle for nebraska and creighton to meet up in the NIT so matt and the others won't have to cry about the rematch this season. rhode island will be at the qwest center though. completely unappealing match up but probably one of the best teams to play creighton on their home floor for what its worth. good luck to the huskers and the jays in the NIT. good luck to anyone who listens to matt's show this week, there will be more crying going on than a women's book club with a synced up menstrual cycle.

So Don, are you saying Nebraska is "big time" basketball? You're right, right up there with Northwestern and South Florida.

BTW, which is more unappealing: Nebraska-Charlotte or Creighton-Rhode Island? Good luck getting 3,000 at the Bob. Besides, we already kicked your ass this year...You'll have to wait for the next installment of "owning your ass for the past ten years" until next year, sorry.

There is no beer being sold at the Qwest for the NIT because it's an NCAA sponsered event now.

Looks like Creighton's attendance is going to take a nose dive.

Aric:

"As of 5 p.m. Monday, Nebraska had sold 6,800 tickets for Wednesday’s game" -- per the LJS

I believe anything above 6k is considered good for an NIT game.
