Auburn Fans Loved Turner

Sorry if you've already seen this but this is the video of Jay Jacobs- Auburn AD coming back from seeing Chizik. I've got a lot to say but this is great! Jacobs is a idiot in my book for passing on Gill for Gene:

Could you ever see NU fans doing this? :) I agree with LSU fans today. :30 sec mark for chanting to begin:

It will be tough to cheer for Iowa State but I'd really love to see Gill get the job. They've got a great tailgate there maybe Gill can get a good football product for their fans!

Although I'd like to have Gill I'm worried he is going to get frustrated with the process. He's already been turned down a couple times. He seems content with being at Buffalo right now. We'll see. I really like the Tulsa offensive coordinator and Patterson from TCU.

Turner Gill is staying at Buffalo, he signed a contract extension that will make him one of the highest paid coaches in the MAC.

As for the whole Auburn thing, they should fire their AD. They forced a coach out that won 80+ games in 10 years, then go and hire a coach that won 5 games in 2 years. Totally ridiculous. They pass on Turner Gill, Gary Pattersen and others for Gene Chizik. Totally stupid.

Apparently Iowa State didn't even contact Gill. From what I've heard (from a pretty good source) teams like Syracuse, Auburn, and Iowa State do not like the fact that Gill wants to keep his coaching staff. Apparently the universities don't think they are of high caliber.

I hope he has a good season next year. It's naive to think he is due for another great season at Buffalo and the red carpet will be rolled out next year.

Hey Matt did you read that great article about the Mo Valley today from your lover Pivovar. What a surprise, the Valley sucks. Now you wonder why NU thinks that this is only the 17th at best game of the year. It does nothing to improve and can only hurt their RPI. I'm sure you'll have some "spin" on it and that it will improve during conference play and that come the end of the year the Valley is derserving of 3 teams in the big dance. I think I'd rather watch the WNBA (if it's still around) than watch horrible valley basketball.
