A sand wedge 140 yards? Come on Matt, I know you're a half way decent golfer, but a SW 140 yards?

111 yards. I said I hit a pitching wedge 140 yards....listen more closely my friend :)

I'm dragging ass this morning after staying up for every pitch of the game last night. Did the coverage go out for about an inning (around the 11th) for you guys too?

But you only hit your 7 iron 155? Then you were talking about all different spin techniques like you were on tour or something. I am willing to bet you are not spinning balls like you were talking about on the air.

No, I said I hit my 7 iron 165 to 170....god, do you guys listen? Sand Wedge- 125 and under. Pitching Wedge 135-145. 9 iron 145-155. 8 iron 155 to 165. 7 iron 165-to 175

Pro V1 balls + Vokey Wedges = spin. go play with them and you'll spin the ball. Especially if you hit it off a mat for god sakes....

Well with your consistent 290 to 300 yard drive you should join the tour. Here is a link to average driving distances on the PGA last year.http://www.pgatour.com/r/stats/2007/101.html. You should just get entered in the COX classic. A guy with your distance and your spin with your titleist wedge not to mention your pro V1,(possibly pro V1x) you could make the cut.

as I said...I can't putt.

You don't have to lie to make yourself look cool. Well, actually you probably do.

I dabble in golf. I'll make a deal with you. 18 Holes at one of the better courses in Omaha. If I win, you give me an hour segment on your show. If you win, I'll donate $500 to a charity of your choice.

Do we have an accord?

no chance....remember im rehabing a torn rotator

So? I played 1/2 a softball season with a torn rotator cuff. I play competitvely so that was like 60-70 games. Granted, I couldn't play outfield or SS anymore but I sucked it up and played 2B and 1B. Of course Nebraska farm boys are probably a little tougher breed than that of blue-blooded, bleeding-heart New England kid.

Walk it off, Perrault!

Anyway, I can honestly say I do like listening to your golf segments...both interesting and informative.
