What possible reason could you have to dislike Shatel? Objecting to a column here and there is not a reason to dislike him.
I challenge you to find a columnist in the country at a similar sized paper to the OWH that is consistently better. I'm not saying there isn't one, but the list isn't very long. We are fairly lucky.
Oh, and way to keep it classy by making fun of his speech. Very cool move, dude.
pete, unfortunately you won't find many people on the internet who aren't going to go for the cheap, sad joke. that's just way people are these days...it is sad and i try to do my best to keep it off this blog. I apologize to Tom
Matt giving a tisk tisk for cheap jokes? That is awesome. This is the same guy that refers to our basketball coach as a matricidal retard....yea, you are so classy.
Of course, you don't delete the offensive comment. Had he mentioned another radio station in his comment, it would have been deleted. Can't be too sorry about it if it stays up on the old blog, eh Matt?
BTW, listened to you yesterday. The whole London Fryar thing is a lark. Read the OWH today. London was told he could redshirt. So, evidently he got a call back. And remember, Callahan had only been here a month when London was being recruited. How come no one is bitching about Solich not recruiting the guy. I am pretty sure he knew who Irving was.
The Kalamazoo article is simply trying to add some spice to the game through fabrication.
Callahan is easily the worst Husker coach since like WWII. One do not have to make stuff up like this to make him seem even worse.
Sure, that much is clear...and cool. Makes it better when that 'rube' coaching our team beats yours. I was simply pointing out that calling others out for cheap jokes was hypocritical...
One more thing about London Fryar. That writer of that story in the Michigan paper obviously missed his class on research. London committed to Western Michigan 5 days after Bill Callahan was hired. Let that sink in. I love Irving the Husker. But this was a complete BS story designed to kick the former staff in the grapes.

Matt,
Again, we greatly appreciated everything today. Perhaps you could be our next interview for a local sports personality?
Think about it...
Regards,
Jeff Peterson and the HeavySoul crew.
Sure...fire away.
I must say, as much as I dislike Tom Sha-sha-shatel most of the time, he was spot on in this interview.

Part two is officially up, kids.

Tom talks about his favorite bars and the 2008 Huskers.
Tom works for the World Herald, that's enough reason not to "read" him. That's just my opinion. Always thought he was more inciteful than insightful.
